Calmaster
Calmaster has been introduced in response to demands from the water industry for traceable in-situ flow meter verification. Calmaster performs a complex series of tests, which ensure correct functionality and calibration of the flow meter. A simple to follow Windows interface guides the user through the automated series of tests. On completion a certificate is produced to comply with regulatory requirements. Calmaster can be used on existing Magmaster installations but with a reduce accuracy. Magmaster with a factory fingerprint will be given a certificate of 1% existing Magmasters without a factory fingerprint will be given a 2% certificate. Verification accuracy +/- 1% Fully portable battery operated hardware Help desk support at Calmaster@gb.abb.com

The stainless steel primaries as well as the PTFE liner primaries are proven in many applications even under hardest conditions. Primary instrument designs: FAM541 Standard-line with flange connections FAM544 Hygienic design FAM545 with PTFE-liner for aggressive fluids FAM546 with Steam jacket for temperature sensitve fluids All devices are available as analog indicator with or without alarms as well as electronic transmitter with 4-20 mA , HART and NAMUR contact outputs and optionally with a graphical display. They can be used in all hazardous areas in flameproof, intrinsic safety or non sparking design.
UNTHA shredding technology
UNTHA shredding technology
RS30 series
The world’s first four-shaft shredder is part of UNTHA’s RS30 series. With this series, the four-shaft shredder and perforated screen invented and patented (patent number 319535) by Anton Unterwurzacher were incorporated into an industrially produced machine for the first time. Over the last 25 years the series has been continuously developed and improved and offers highly sophisticated technology. The four-shaft shredders in this series can be supplied with three different driving powers and have been a favorite among our customers for many years. The numerous cutter and screen variants, which can be individually combined to suit your requirements, allow the shredder to be used for a wide range of applications, which is why this shredder was also originally known as the "universal shredder". Some typical applications Bark Packaging Cardboard Paper CDs Plastic bottles Chipboard Plastic packaging Files Rubber waste Films Stamping lattices Industrial waste Tetra-paks Leather Veneers Metal turnings Waste wood
RS45 and RS50 series
The design for the RS45 and RS50 series is derived from the logic of the world’s first industrially produced four-shaft shredder, the RS30. Like the RS30, the RS45 and RS50 versions use the shredder design of the patented UNTHA four-shaft system with perforated screen (patent number 319535). Both series are ideal for multi-shift continuous working and particularly difficult operating conditions
S120 series
The S120 series has been developed for particularly heavy industrial use. These two-shaft shredders are also known as rotary shears and are suitable in particular for shredding metals and tires. A four-shaft shredder is often used down-stream in a second shredding process to reduce granule size even further, and particularly high through-put rates can be achieved using this combination. Even with low speeds and very high torque the machines are capable of shredding heavy gauge metals. If you need to process very bulky or awkwardly shaped metal objects, a compression feeder will help to ensure the required through-put. Some typical applications Al-Mg feeders Paper edge strips Al-Mg housings Paper sheets Aluminium sections Rolls of paper Car tires Tractor tires Electronic scrap Truck tires Metal drums
UNTHA four-shaft shredders
After being rapidly drawn in to the cutting system, the input materials are coarse and fine-shredded in a single operation. If parts do not immediately fall through the perforated screen, they are picked up by the teeth of the main cutter and transported up again (coarse-shredding). When this material is picked up by the secondary cutter, an additional cutting process (fine-shredding) takes place. The end product is a precisely definded, homogeneous granule.
UNTHA single-shaft shredders
During the shredding process, the hydraulic swing-pusher in-feed system forces the material against the rotor carrying the exchangeable, reversible cutting blades, which shreds the material against the cutting bars. The shredded material then falls through the perforated screen. The diameter of the perforations defines the granule size.
UNTHA two-shaft shredders
The cutting discs are arranged in such a way that a cutting disc on one shaft is positioned between two cutting discs on the opposite shaft. As a result, the material is shredded both lengthways and crossways. The size of the fraction produced is determined by the width of the cutting discs and the number of teeth.

Hydroseeding of completed embankment
Hydroseeding of completed embankment
Landfill: Surface Water Collection and Removal System (SWCRS)
Landfill capping are typically waterproofed using either a geomembrane or a geosynthetic clay liner (GCL). Infiltrating rainwater flowing over the liner drastically reduces the coefficient of friction at the soil/membrane interface producing, in addition, overpressures that can certainly promote slippage of the soil layer over the covering system. TENAX TENDRAIN geocomposites, properly installed on top of the waterproofing layer, shall be selected to reduce the amount of rainwater that might reach the liner interface. Surface water infiltrating through the cover soil will accumulate above the barrier layer and generate detrimental pore water pressure if it is not properly drained. Excessive head buildup due to inadequate drainage can cause catastrophic failure of the cover, numerous seepage-induced landfill slope failures have been recorded and analyzed to confirm this. TENAX TENDRAIN geocomposites and TENAX GNT provide the highest flow capacity among any geonet. The long-term in-soil transmissivity of TENAX TENDRAIN is in the order of 6 x 10-3 m2/s at a gradient of 0.1, and 4 x 10-3 m2/s at a gradient of 0.33. Long-term (10,000 hour) testing indicates that TENAX TENDRAIN maintains over 90% of its thickness when exposed to long-term compressive loads. This retained thickness maintains an open flow channel into which geotextiles are kept from intruding and rain water is free to flow.
Stabilization of landslides
Installation of geojute and TENAX TT geogrids. To restore a failed slope, the soil is often substituted with a different type of soil with superior geotechnical properties, significantly increasing material procurement costs and the environmental impact. In these cases, the use of TENAX TT SAMP geogrids allows the reconstruction of the slope by taking advantage of the on-site soil and assures a steep vegetated face. In this way the environmental impact is minimized and the reinforced slope is reintroduced back into its natural state without causing a negative environmental impact. To restore a landslide, it is necessary to remove the collapsed soil, to grade the backfill slope and compact the foundation and to reconstruct the slope in layers of well compacted soil and geogrids. Overall the slope can be more easily and much more rapidly restored since there are no foundations requiring excavation, no concrete formwork to set up, no reinforcement steel bars to align, and no time lost waiting for the cement to cure. The inclusion of TENAX TT SAMP geogrid layers will intersect the failure slip circle and impede the progressive sliding and deterioration of the rebuilt slope. Of extreme importance is the fact that a geogrid/reinforced slope has an intrinsic seismic resistance. Due to its superior elasto-plastic characteristics and to the damping effects conferred to the soil by the geogrids, the reinforced slope is not subject to failure during earthquakes, even when of considerable magnitude.
